About Us

The owners, Debby and Dale Evans are well supported by a small dedicated teaching team.  Debby has a Bachelor of Early Childhood and is fully registered.   She has many years of teaching experience and before purchasing the centre was the manager for nine years, when it was formally known as Prodigy Preschool.

At Our Family Early Learning, we place a high value on providing a family environment where our children, families and teachers feel safe and secure to express and explore. 

Our centre is licenced for 35 children aged 2-5 years. We offer 20 hours ECE for children 3 years and over. The centre has a very high staff retention rate with many working for us for over five years. All the team is qualified and have full registration.  Our teacher ratios are 1:8. We provide three homemade cooked meals a day that is based on the Healthy Heart Foundation Guidelines. We are a NUT FREE centre and can cater for all allergies.

It is important to us that all our families from a wide range of cultural backgrounds feel valued, respected and accepted. We strive to provide a challenging environment with a high level of choice independence and empowerment.

The teaching team has a strong belief in Te Wharirki. This leads and guides us through the individual learning plans we provide for your child. Planning, assessing and evaluating on a regular basis. As Our Family Early Learning is all about family, we strongly encourage your regular input in these plans.

We provide a comprehensive transition to school programme, this is lead by a teacher who is Primary and Early Childhood trained.
